As a club we have a wide selection of rides of varying distances and speeds. Some of these are regular club rides. Others are organised by members, on an ad hoc basis. Please find a list of the regular club rides with a brief description of the rides and speeds. If there are any questions please ask any club member and they will advise or point you in the best direction.
Meet at the Conan/Alcaig Junction. Pace is steady. No one gets dropped. 18 and 25 mile options. Starts (6:30pm).
This is a small inter club local training night held through the light evenings (BST). No official timing or closed road. You are racing against the clock and yourself. All welcome to this, no need for a TT bike, road bike is adequate. Meet at the layby just after the Delny Riding Centre junction on the A9 heading North (6:30pm).
This is usually a ride of approximately 50Miles at an average speed of 14-16MPH. There is normally a coffee stop roughly halfway and the group will always stay together and help everyone. This is a good starting point for those newer to cycling wanting to get an idea of fitness levels and learn to ride in a group. It is also a good way to learn about the club and to meet other riders. Meet at the Maryburgh roundabout, ready to leave for (9:30am).
This is a great training session for anyone looking to develop their riding. There are multiple groups based on different average speeds. This will teach you a lot about riding in a group, the benefits of drafting and the discipline of maintaining a steady speed. Meet at the hub in Muir of Ord during the summer. Like the TT’s, this is only for the light evenings (6:30pm).
Anyone new wishing to join chain gang must be a club member and have attended an induction session prior to their first session.
